You had all those channels and you picked politics over Stern?? What the hell's wrong with you????
Could it have been the voice of Lynn Samuels? She worked at a time when WABC radio was not all right wing, and she used to be funny.
Oh, and what's with this "Harold Stassen" like we are supposed to know that name. So not cool!
Keep with pop references like Susan Lucci.
Oh wait! She finally got that Emmy.

I simply refer to her as "that woman with the awful voice that comes on before Ed."
A voice that would etch Fran Dresher's glasses!

That voice could ONLY belong to Lynn Samuels- before she turned political, she was actually a very amusing talk show host. I often wondered what happened to her after she moved to Florida (after being canned by several NYC radio stations).
Better not tell my mother, or I'll be adding a Sirius satellite bill to monthly expenses.

I used to listen to Lynn Samuels when she was on WCBS-AM (I believe) radio. She was amusing and quite the vitriolic talk show host....I did catch her on some Sirius Left talk radio show, but she was toned down compared to her days here on AM radio. Her voice is quite compelling and very recognizable. I love Sirius for the classic rock stations, the oldies stations, the Dead on the Disorder channel 32, the symphony station, the opera channel, and the only place where you can actually hear bluegrass music any ole time, channel 65.

A quick google search led me to the Sirius Left station lineup, and those dulcet tones do indeed belong to Lynn Samuels.
If you've never seen her photo- take a look at http://www.sirius.com/siriusleft (always fun to put a face with the voice).
