I was trying to think of a question to add, but to be honest with you, it's so terribly sad. How about something hopeful, like a future question that reads:
"In the early part of the 21st century, Americans almost lost their right to a democracy. Write a well documented essay in which you describe the ways that Americans fought back and regained a quality of life for everyone."
