Republicans have done a great job creating cynicism and apathy. So many people have been turned off to the process by Bush and Co., that its created the perfect minority-rule opportunity. My bet is that people have just about had enough and the sleeping giant will awaken to cast a vote in 2006. Beware the populist backlash. You do realise that most of the rest of the world consider GWB, and his far-right semi-religious war / oil war agenda, to be the most dangerous man on the planet.

Then again, he's just a below-average student, draft-dodging, recovering alcoholic..which makes it even more frightening to the majority of the world population.
