Theyv'e got to be 100 percent cotton with the cloth "kung-fu" buttons that can stand on their own from the heavy starch.

Oh, absolutely...My feeling is that they need to be so starched that they act like a Spartan shield.

If a lab coat fresh from the cleaners doesn't hurt your arms for the first hour AND make you walk like Mr. Roboto, there isn't enough starch!

Although some may argue that lab coats only serve to keep doctors from being confused with patients, they actually serve several vital purposes. Should a dangerous chemical or an infectious sample splash on a lab coat, the wearer's skin is mostly protected by the tight weave construction.

Sadly, vets have tended to dump their white coats... it was found their patients recognised it and became more fearful and aggressive..
Shame... they saved my day clothes and made me feel important lol
