Regarding the wedding anniversary gift--traditionally in the US the 20th is China or more modern Platinum. Unless you wife is really into china (in which case you could buy her a new set or just a place setting to add to her collection) I would suggest jewelry. Maybe a new watch in platinum or just some lovely diamond ear rings.
Hope you have 20 plus more years in both areas of your life.

Richter, you obviously are not married. Every married man knows that we are supposed to know what our wives are thinking, at each and every moment of the day! Therefore, if I ask SWIMBO, I'll be in a heap o' trouble!
Then read her mind already! (Before you get your panties all in a knot.) If she gets aggravated, you could point out that at least you know when your anniversary is, you should get some points for that. Alternatively, you could just get the grey flannel nightgown, (fire-resistant, if I may make a small suggestion, or I hear there are fire-retarding sprays that you could treat it with), then give her the receipt, and then she'll get whatever she wants. That's win win.

My husband got me a ticket to an all-day spa for our 10th. Loved every hedonistic moment of it.
