I don't see the problem. Are they not just entitled to research freely as those that might disagree? Wouldn't the AAUP be hypocritical by admonishing this group? Am I missing something? I do agree that this "academy" shouldn't become a mere cover for a soapbox.

You know how I feel. Students, faculty, and even the guy that plays his guitar in the quad next to his petition for medical marijuana who we *think* is a student should all have the same right to express a counterpoint to the mainstream. Even when we disagree.
