Hi, below is a copy of the email I sent to the website of the province of Pampanga. My wife suggested that it might be as good if not better to send it to you too. So there...
Officials of the Province,
I think somebody should bring to your attention how a website which claims it has a critical number of audience has branded Pampanga a "backward province." Worse, when refuted, its writer unapologetically defended "I stand by what I wrote--Pampanga remains a 'backward' province."
I do not wish to start a word-war here but I think Cabalens would prefer such a scenario over taking this sitting down (especially if there is truth to the writer's claim that their website is read by thousands.)
Sir, I studied in UP Pampanga. I have been to many places in the Philippines and I swear your province is one of the nicest this country could ever have.
Just please let this website learn that unremorsefully namecalling Kapampangans is not in keeping with Filipino values within and beyond your great province.
