I grew up on Dr.E. W. Bullinger's work and his Companion Bible. You can get a copy at http://www.tftmin.org/ The Truth For Today group is one of the longest running Bible study groups and goes back decades. You may find Dr. Bullinger's writings on the 'nephilim' an answer to the Hitchen's problem with what he sees as the "evil commands of God". The argument hinges on God's dialog with Adam, Eve, and Satan (serpent), actually the whole rest of the Bible hinges on the Gen 3 prophesy; and the subject at hand on Gen 6.

Dr. Bullinger was linguist by trade, authority in Hebrew and Greek and several other languages, and was consultant on the 1885 RKJV. You may not agree with some of his dipensational views, but in my opinion he may have been, and arguably of course, the greatest student of the Bible ever. His work is self evident. The accomplishment of the Companion Bible without the use of a computer is a wonder. You will get lost in the indices and info that accompanies the Companion Bible (KJV) JMHO P.S. I think a fair view of it is that Craig won this match with intellectual arguments and Hitchens won on rhetoric.
The best way to ensnare an atheist is when they attempt to explain the "evolutionary" functions of a species WITHOUT the key words of "intended" or "natural design" to describe how a species adapts and evolves. For myself, I take on faith, the reality of everything that was told to me of alleged events before my birth and possible memory of or knowledge and that being said, I cannot even say definitively (as a rhetorical example)of whether or not we are just specimans on a cosmic slide of a careless supreme being. I take my purpose in the grand scheme of life and creation on faith, there is no other way.
