I agree--grieving is called for. I'm so sorry this happened to you. However, like you said, hopefully it will lead to something even better.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My company has let a lot of good people go in the last year. They are missed. I'm sure you will be too. That said, I agree that these things can be blessings, the kick in the pants that gets us moving forward in creative, exciting and unforseen ways. Bon voyage.
