Kaspersky catches it on Jotti and doesn't on Virustotal. Huh? How long are they waiting before they update the engine on Virustotal? 4.0.2? How old is this one, two years?

Due to the vendor's request, neither lists Trend Micro. The latest pattern as of this posting is lpt$vpn.163(316300) (2006/01/17) and it DOES NOT detect the installer.

I'm not comfortable with the av scan results I had up there and am going to re-run the tests later and post fresh ones.

How exactly do I get rid of this thing, now that I've managed to pick it up somehow?

I have been infected with Pesttrap.
I have used new MS-Antivirus to remove program components (executable file, folders). My desktop is still hijacked. Any progress on a fix for this? Any help greatly appreciated!

You can get rid of this -- multiple antispware scans, AV scans and a thorough Hijack This run through.
