Gravatar I wonder if this isn't just an excuse. The son has tried to take control of his fathers bank accounts before (to no success). Despite the article's suggestions that the bank records were destroyed, if it's less than 7 years ago, the bank *HAS* the records and they are subpoena'able (sp).

Is it possible that it's the "oh my god, the Nigerians have ripped him off, we've got to save him" ploy as another attempt???

After all, it was around 8 million that the son wanted to control.......

Gravatar David makes a good point, but after all the years the Nigerian Scam a.k.a. Advance Fee scam has been around that people still do fall for it.

Gravatar I'm sorry...I mean't to say it continues to amaze me that so many people still fall for the scam.
