Sunbeltblog comments

Gravatar From the report:
If at that time ShopAtHome takes steps to address the remainder of the concerns identified with its current installations -- inadequate disclosure of privacy effects; program files installed to the Windows directory; nonconfigurable auto-updater; auth code required for uninstallation -- and continues to exhibit no new problems, then Sunbelt should consider de- listing Shop at Home Select entirely from its
database.

Comment: I would hope that Sunbelt would continue to identify the presence of SAH. The administrator of the machine needs (at minimum) to be aware of the presence of SAH - even if Belarco addresses your concerns. Programs of this sort should never be de-listed from the database.

Question: is it possible for Sunbelt to detect the date or age of the installation of SAH and assign a higher risk level to older installations that may have been nonconsensual?

Gravatar It's a good point. We will be re-evaluating SAH over the next several weeks.
