Winfixer is the main reason why I became interested in malware fighting. I have been on the Internet since 1995, when I think of these scumbags coming out one day and freely start making money off infecting computers and generally making the Internet a toilet (and STILL GET SUPPORT AND SPACE ON MAJOR SITES) still makes my blood boil.

I will not be happy until this so-called company Winsoftware is disruped, and the people behind it are in jail. And I'm dead serious when I say this.

Gravatar MyGeek/Cpvfeed places ads in many spyware vendors -- not just Direct Revenue. I monitor MyGeek ads frequently, and I often find that MyGeek-placed ads defraud merchants -- for example, targeting merchant with their own affiliate codes, thereby skimming commissions that affiliates haven't actually done anything to earn. (Example: http://www.benedelman.org/news/0...s/091405- 1.html -- including a specific report of a particular affiliate using MyGeek and Direct Revenue for this purpose.)

So MyGeek is bad news, in my view. Based on my investigations and testing of various ad networks, I'd say MyGeek's ties to spyware are deeper and more far-reaching than any other ad network I've looked at. It's nothing for them to be proud of.
