Well, you got the links, how about pointing them to a page that describes the dangers of these sites?
Great idea by the way! Thanks!

Nice idea... but you only registered one *codec.(com|net|org|info|biz|...) domain out one myriads
That doesn't help anything.

"aviewersoft(dot)com is another"
Interesting ... It installs a fake codec called videokeycodec, wich doesn't seem have it's own domain, yet (hint for the domain-snatchers ).

Just found the videokeycodec-domain, because videokeycodec is the same one as keycodec
Keycodec offcourse does have it's own domain ... but that one (keycodec.com) has been parked for some time, now.
They really give us a run for it, don't they :-D

Anything to attract attention. They'll be going for precious jewels next -- diamond, ruby, emerald . . .

"Anything to attract attention."
It seems to me more like a game of 'hide and go seek'
Every week another hidingplace to find
Btw, Jems are indeed high on my list of possible names as well.

I will *really* get ticked if they start picking on flower next. It would not be good for my "image" if they start with RoseCodecs.

Anyone interested in a partnership ? :P
Great idea in general. I remember a small discussion somewhere in a forum doing this for the rogue scanners.

great idea, still a flaw in your registration system, never did a hold of tech support, CS does not thwart this codec intrusion on it's own though, there is only one that works in conjunction with CS, I will not post it here that would be wrong. I have seen 14 variations of this codec invasion and conqued them all without formating, don't forget to reinstall DX9 and netframework2.0+ after you remove this sucker, don't leave your customers hangn. The domain registration is a geat idea, I do applaude the effort, unforurtunatly it has already been overcome meet version 15 on the codec fake alert. Education to the consumer, automation of this product keeping the answers out of there hands is where this product should be pointed. 80% will allow just because they break the golden rule READ BEFORE YOU CLICK.
Just my two cents, good start and applaude the efort.
