Agreed...please clarify the DNS hack aspect and what can be done to prevent it.

1. Trust your DNS service provider, whether it is outsourced or self hosted.. One DNS server exploit/vulnerability can allow for DNS poisoning attacks.
2. Protect your domain credentials. I believe a lot of these attacks are simply the result of stolen credentials, which allows the attackers to do whatever they want with the domains (normally create multiple sub-domains pointing to malicious servers).
FWIW, no one has fully disclosed to us how the attacks are actually occurring.

1) How can you tell whether your DNS provider is trustworthy?
2) How do you protect your domain credentials?
