Hi Alex,
Thanks for clarifying the subject. It is very important that people feel they can trust an entity.
However when you write "a small amount of information sharing", that makes people think twice. If a company shares information with third parties, that means that they store data on you and you may not know the background of the people they share information with...
Now, we know we can't always trust our own government. So trusting a silicon valley company may be too far streched for a lot of people.

Jerome, not nearly as much data as is shared in some of the vetted security lists. We're talking phish sites and the like here.
