Talk about "screwing the pooch."
This is quite a legal track record that Zango has managed over the past few years. It sued three anti-malware vendors. In two of those cases (ZoneLabs, PC Tools), Zango dropped the case after it became apparent that they were getting nowhere with it.
In the third, Zango actually managed to cause a summary judgment that extends to anti-malware providers hitherto unimagined levels of protection/immunity against Zango's legal shenanigans.
I can't imagine a worse outcome for Zango, which has become notorious among anti-malware vendors for threatening legal action -- it collapses the whole house of cards upon which Zango's threats were built.
