What does it mean, "...set the threat level to high..."? I am looking at my VIPRE dashboard, or whatever it's called, and it says the threat level is low and advises "normal precautions."

Thanks for the heads up. Setting the kill bits now on my computers.
BTW, has there ever been any consideration of having VIPRE auto-apply such recommended workaround (obviously, an option that could be turned on and off)? Obviously, there are many potential problems with such a feature, but perhaps any downsides are outweighed by the number of users who would avoid infection.
Just curious if there has ever been any consideration of such a feature in any sort of security solution.

I set my killbits, too. There is a Fixit workaround (enable and disable workarounds) at the kb at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973472.
My Vipre threat level says Low too.

And I don't have the update on my dashboard some 15 hours later.

JerryZ, there is sometimes a lag between the site and what's on the dashboard.
