Gravatar 1st: It's interesting that the Sunbelt blog has a spam comment that points to a crappy, parasitic, fake antispware download site.

2nd: What's going on with the personal firewall? I (a licensed customer) haven't seen any updates since last summer, and would like to see:

- cleaning up of IDS rulesets: removal of old/bad rules, inclusion of newer rules
- up to date and more exhaustive changelog, going back several versions, including bugs fixed
- list of current, known open bugs

Some feature enhancement requests:

- interface for managing, updating, editing, importing IDS rules
- ability to turn on/off individual rules instead of just the entire high, medium, and low priority sets
- better communication with customers on current status, roadmap, etc.!

Thanks,
David

Gravatar vıpte not real time scanning menu why?
other antivirus real time scanning menu.

for example :
avira antivir guard services

last scanned files ; x
number of files : x
etc.. statistics ...

but there is nothing like for vıpre ( no this menu )

Gravatar There are these stats in VIPRE, in the stats section.

Gravatar @david gunnells -- thanks for the suggestions on the firewall, I will get them to the product team.

What spyware site are you talking about that I'm linking to? I don't see anything.

Gravatar @david, some answers:

- cleaning up of IDS rulesets: removal of old/bad rules, inclusion of newer rules
** Working on this currently. We have already pushed out, as a release, a new set of IDS rules. Previously, they were in beta, but have now been made public.

- up to date and more exhaustive changelog, going back several versions, including bugs fixed
** We just finished this yesterday and it will be in the next 4.6 build of SPF, from here on out, in the ReadMe.

- list of current, known open bugs
Same as above, this information will be in the ReadMe.txt

- interface for managing, updating, editing, importing IDS rules
**Agreed. The user can currently manually edit the RLK files with any text editor

- ability to turn on/off individual rules instead of just the entire high, medium, and low priority sets
**Agreed, we were thinking of some sort of check/uncheck mechanism. Again, the user can manually edit the RLK file and append a # sign in front of a rule, which will disable it.

- better communication with customers on current status, roadmap, etc.!

** we can add some information to the ReadMe with a roadmap, etc. Also the Sunbelt Firewall forum at Castlecops is regularly monitored by Sunbelt staff and there is information posted there.

Gravatar Alex, I believe that david is ref to first post of this comment section
