My car was broken into twice within six months when I lived off Michigan Ave. I appreciated the first guy because he looked in my window, saw my radio and took it, with no damage done anywhere else. The second time, it was some punk kid who saw NO useful radio (I have a removable faceplate now) and that was it. So he rummaged through my car and took 12-20 cds, which were some beatles and some local bands and some mixes. Woo hoo. And he also broken my lock. For the next four years, I would have to open the driver's side by leaning across the passenger's side.

I'm sorry to hear about your breakin. This happened to me a little over a month ago. They didn't take anything, but they certainly stole $500 dollars from my wallet to pay the deductible to fix the damage.

I'm particularly sad for you about the musical soundtracks.
