I've also been bothered by the distribution of special scenarios for M44. One's only in a particular magazine, another just through Funagain, and now the scenario editor costs money? I think DOW should've either made these widely available as free downloads, or else do the opposite: hold everything until you can release a supplemental Scenario Book a few month later (with a new miniature type, if you're smart). Battle Cry really flourished with "roll yer own" homemade scenarios, so I bet M44 will do the same with or without DOW's coordination. Feels like a minor misstep from a company that's been doing just about everything right.
I haven't even ordered a copy of M44 yet. Partly that's because the shine wore off on Battle Cry pretty quickly for me, partly it's the price. And, I guess, partly it's because everyone around me seems to be buying their own copy. I'll be swimming in them soon enough.

I have the Gametrade scenario, but not the Funagain one (since I, well, pre-ordered it from Gamefest). Gametrade, at least, I got for free.
One wonders what the copyright ramifications are of somebody transcribing the various "extra" scenarios and putting them on the web (obviously not using the same formatting)?
