I agree with what you said, and interestingly, I ordered "Kind of Blue" at the beginning of the week when I bought some CDs under the theory that I really should own at least one jazz CD. We'll see if it hooks me.
Excellent article. I try to play games with most people in my life and I fit the game to the person. For instance, I play Settlers of Catan with prospective serious gamers; Tichu with Bridge players or Lost Cities with Gin Rummy lovers. I have not tried it yet, but I imagine Risk players would love Wallenstein.
