Sounds like you're on the mend. Congratulations for pulling yourself out of the tailspin. I hope you have become stronger for the experience. One of my best friends was diagnosed as bipolar in his early twenties and is coping well.
BTW, please can you make your comments work like Chris Farrell's? His blog seems to have the latest type of Blogger comments and they I find them more usable.

The short answer: No, I can't. Removing Haloscan is far too huge of a pain in the butt. I've followed all the instructions I can find, but to no avail. Somewhere there's an XML problem, and I'm too much of a history PhD student to figure it out. So: Pop-up comments it is.
