It's breath-taking. Labour lost five to six million working-class voters between 1992 and 2001. The party didn't care. In many ways, these were calaculated losses - sacrificed to grab Tory marginals and in Labour's gleeful rush to embrace Thatcherism.

And now the party is starting to lose some of its middle-class supporters, it's trying to morally blackmail them by claiming to have helped working-class people who themselves stopped voting Labour years ago because they know full well the party is no different from the Tories.
