Gravatar I just don't get why the Conservatives aren't going with the 'Vote for Tony, get Gordon' business. Those who prefer Brown over Blair are to the left of Blair. They will abstain or vote Liberal. Blair has won two elections because he is to the right of his party (and is a technically amazing pol). He attracts those wavering Lab-Con voters, mainly in the urban South. It is the constituencies that are 'naturally' Conservative, but temporarily Labour, because of the Blair factor, that are the battleground. Perhaps they should remind people who might be the next Labour chancellor?

Gravatar They scrapped that idea when it was pointed out that most disaffected Labour voters like Gordy (God knows why). Massive own goal.
