I would take offence at the catagory 'Idiotic Youth', if it wasn't so true.

Kids are always going to do stupid things. It is part of growning up and learning.
However, take a look at where society is heading:
Hitting people for a laugh
Shooting people for a laugh
Dodging trains for a laugh
Best bit is... None of it is even remotely funny. Quite the opposite in fact.

That isn't learning. Thats just plain stupid.
I don't see how they could even think that is acceptable as a human...

I was generalising when I said kids do stupid things. It is the "know better next time" approach to learning. Didn't want you to think I had a total downer on the youth of today
I am not an unsympathetic parent, but if any of my kids came home with their fingers caught in a mousetrap and it was their own stupid fault for sticking their fingers in it, then part of me would say "you won't do that again in a hurry... will you"
Call me callous if you like, but if a happy train dodger gets hit by a 90mph express train, my first thought would be, "well, you won't do that again in a hurry, will you".
I would have much more concern for the poor train driver.

True, the train driver would be traumatized. and the child dead.
I'm not arguing, I think its one of the dumbest things you could do. Mousetrap, fair enough... train, y'what?!
sigh the youth of today eh ...

I think this is how evolutions works - And if we develop self-driving trains then nobody need be traumatised.
You can have just as much fun at the beach dodging waves.

Lol... I'd still have more sympathy for the train.
