Actually SZ began his business career in Selma, Alabama. He started as a sock peddled, not bananas. He was assisted by the Tepper family, local Selma merchants. He heard of rip fruit being discarded on the Mobile docks and began by peddling that. His brother is buried in Selma in the old jewish cemertary.
