Gravatar It's hard to say if he is making it up. Maybe he does feel threatened. Certainly in Bolivia at least there was a huge section of the right who wanted to overthrow Morales, but the political climate is just not there for it anymore. Perhaps there are factions in Paraguay who want to do the same to Lugo. But as the failed coup against Chavez showed, widespread support among other Latin American nations for such actions is nonexistent and the needed physical and material U.S. support is not going to come.

Gravatar Well it seems the two alleged conspirators are in bed with the evil tyrant George Bush and his plans to retire in the great country of Paraguay on his 50,000 hectre Ranch.

If i were the insane ruler of the world i would not want a leftist Bolivarian sypathiser as my elected leader.

Gravatar A) Lugo isn't "Bolivarian."

B) By using Bolivarian, you presumably are referring to Chavez. Do you honestly think that Lugo is just a "pawn" for Chavez with no differentiation from Venezuela or no differences in policies or goals?

C) Could you accurately define "Bolivarian"?

D) If not, could you simply say "Chavista" instead of "Bolivarian"?

Gravatar My point was simple.

The ex Prime Minister of Paraguay and his general are in the pocket of the US President.

The US President does not want a lefist government in power, whoever that is, if he is to have a cosy life on his great big property in Paraguay.
