Fun list, Colin... I haven't gotten around to the new Kings of Leon yet, but will do. My favorite CD of the year was Iron & Wine's "The Shepherd's Dog," for what it's worth.

No doubt it's a really good album. I had a terrible time deciding between it and Heliocentrics for the (soon-to-be)coveted 15th spot, but right now, the Heliocentrics one is just a bit ahead to me.

Favorites are always so personal... thought of you during a scene in "Juno" where Jason Bateman raves about Sonic Youth to punk fan Ellen Page. Such great dialogue in that movie.

I much preferred the Lobão Acústico to the Lenine. I can understand the appeal, but for some reason I really don't care for the Lenine.
