Certainly not. Anyone who buys gifts from a registry is essentially saying, "I just want to get you what you want and need the most," and they would want you to get the other thing you wanted more, even if you just changed your mind, I would think. I wouldn't feel bad at all. Plus, how will they know? I guess maybe they'll come visit...

That's what I'm worried about -- some of them might visit. But hopefully you're right that they wouldn't mind!

I'm with Abe. Get what you want!

Of course not, I can't believe you are even asking! Go get what you want, girl.

On the registry note, I honestly don't understand people who don't buy from the registry. If I didn't register for glasses, it's probably because I don't need glasses, and I already have 5 million of my own, and Tom has 5 million, and we are fighting over shelf space as it is and we don't need more shelf fights over glasses!!! Ahem.

So yeah. I think people should stick to registries. Just sayin.

Should have asked for cash! Now you are bound by etiquette!

ARE YOU GOING TO EXCHANGE THE CHEESE GRATER?????

OF COURSE NOT!!!

Oh, and I agree, Rachel -- registries are a "good thing."

One set of dishes I received is supposed to be dishwasher safe, but cracked really badly the first time I put washed them, so those suckers are getting returned anyway! And I have been empowered to get a different set of sheets. Thanks guys!
