Gravatar Hey, Gal!

There's a lot I could write about this subject, beginning with that PR campaign, uh, I mean, that war.

While in college, I participated in a debate on women in the military. My points were:

1) having women in the military imposes a) unavoidable temptations, such as the one you point out in your posting, b) logistical problems, such as pregnancies (I remember an aircraft carrier in which about have the females on board became pregnant during an extended deployment), c) social problems, such as charges of sexual harassment.

2) women in the military change an enemy's disposition, that is, an enemy will fight harder to keep from being defeated by women.

3) when a woman is wounded in battle, men will instictively leave their posts in order to help her, no matter how slight the injury might be.

Those last to points are precisely why the Israeli Army no longer allows women in their standing army.

But, when you get right down to the nitty-gritty, war is a man's business. It calls for brutishness and a complete lack of regard for human life, something which we men are ideally suited. Women are designed for precisely the opposite. Women are designed to hold life dear and precious. We lose civilization when those distinctions are obliterated, as they have been in these reprobate days.

So, there's your answer. This has become so because we no longer have civilization.

Gravatar Great to see you again, Winston Smith!

You are correct that the presence of women in the military indicates the collapse of our civilization. We put them in combat to try (and fail) to get them to fight like men. We give them abortifacents to try (and fail) to keep them from reproducing like women. What's an empire to do?

I know! We can elect another people!
