From the cedars of Lebanon as celebrated in the Holy Bible to the enchanted poetry and divine paintings of Kahlil Gibran, I have loved Lebanon and I still love Lebanon.

I pray for peace and that beautiful and wonderful Lebanon will no longer be the battlefield of blood in the Middle East.

War mongers should leave Lebanon alone to flourish in peace.

Memories of many years ago when Bierut was the 'Paris of the Mediterranean' are still vivid. What a waste of so much natural and human value.
