I envy you your young ones, in a very nice way. I often wonder what sort of parents Mel and I would have made if Mel could have had children.

I love my days out with Laura. She's my best friend now and ten years ago when we threw her out of the house I never, 'ever' would have believed that could happen. In fact we're planning a spa weekend together for the Fall and I can't wait. I just hope it won't be too much of a good thing.
And could you send some of that heat wave up here? It's frickin' cold!

I've thought about that - like what I would do if my mother ever got her head out of her ass and did SOMETHING to show me she deserves my respect and forgiveness... but I think even if that did happen - the ship has long since sailed on the possibility of us being actual friends... her entire personality would have to change in order for that to happen haaaa
which is why I need to get me a kid one of these days- one that's not a baby though... cause at this point if I got a baby I'd be like 110 by the time it was old enough to be my best friend haaaa
