I find it somewhat suspicious that the 4 who left didn't get any air time during the preliminaries. The manipulation of the voters is becoming clearer than it was last season.

whoa, faith! pace yourself in your cynicism! we have a WHOLE season to go, and therefore months worth of chances for you (and the rest of us) to poo-poo on the obvious manipulations inherent in every season of idol. it's always the most fun when it gets towards the middle... that's some good poo-poo'ing!

OK, OK. I'm just too excited to have it all back. Must. Pace. Self. Vote For The Worst reports that poor Garrett was forced to sing whatever that was he was whining by the producers. Poor kid. He does kinda look like Leif Garrett, making his name all the more hysterical. he may have sucked, but I found him endearing.

Has anyone else noticed Jason Castro's eerie facial resemblance to John Travolta as Barbarino? Love child anyone?
