god bless mindy doo... she didn't shed one tear, and she got through her sing-out like the pro that she is. and you're right about her career - it started tonight. that's the one and only redeeming thing about not winning... my prediction is that she'll far surpass the actual 9-year old voted "winner" in success and album sales. she far surpasses the both of them in talent alone, not to mention class and grace.
and if by some bizarre, unfair twist of fate BLAKE were to win the competition, i'm boycotting television altogether.

I was absolutely stunned...Melinda has been in top form since auditioning, not perfect each time but still damn good and better than the rest.
On another note, dude..what was with Elliot's mop? Glad he got the teeth fixed though. I'm sure Paula was wetting herself the entire time he was performing, considering she was damn near orgasmic over him last year.

My thoughts pretty much echoed yours. I am spittin' mad. I was so upset that it spread to my thoughts about other things. "If Melinda got voted out, then there really IS no good in the world, and I shouldn't even THINK about trying to go to vet tech school." Or, er... something like that.
I do really like Jordan, but I'm not even sure I can watch the finale. The only thing I hope is true is that this will ultimately prove beneficial for Melinda's career.

My co-worker pointed out that right after Eliot Yamin performed, Ryan was doing the send-off to commercial and actually said Melinda was going home! I didn't believe it, so of course resorted to YouTube to find out. Sure as hell he did! It's in the last 10 seconds of the clip...

melissa - i thought the SAME DAMN THING when i saw that live - i was like "HUH??? RYAN JUST SAID 'MELINDA GOES HOME!'" and i called my friend all freaked out and dazed, but she didn't hear it... then after the commercial break when ryan started yapping about melinda's trip home, i was like "ohhhhhh. doy."
still - i can't help but think that since ryan knew the results before hand, it might have been something of a cryptic tease... because he's the devil.
