I've never been so psychologically torn in my life. Just like that poll I'm perfectly split between rooting for their humiliation and horrified that this would be put on tv for our pleasure.
Some brilliant mind is going to figure out our obsession with these opening rounds.
Until then...I'm going to keep watching.
And if Nicholas Zitzmann or Darwin "Misha" Reedy and her "mother", are actors, they deserve to go on SNL, big time.
It's not that the judges are mean as much as the contestants are bereft of common sense. The delusional ones go on ceaselessly. Then when the judges politely tell them they suck they resume the ear molestation by giving yet another frightful rendition of a different song. If you have to be told more than once that you suck ass, and the mocking laughter doesn’t give you a clue, you deserve all the ridicule you get.
I read an article earlier where Rosie O'Donnell and some other people were complaining about how meanie-weenie the judges were this season. Whatever. It's not like the contestants don't know what they could possibly in for. The judges didn't exactly handle them with kid gloves in the first five season so that anyone this season could reasonably expect to have anything broken to them gently. The only issue I really had was Randy's habit of beginning to laugh out loud right from start of a lot of the auditions and even that wasn't that awful.
