Gravatar It's a bit surprising to me that no one has commented on this. I am greatly saddened that a man who was an Archbishop could seriously say that Christ would have failed in this place (it is as though he is saying that Christ would have failed if He were in the Archbishop's situation). God knows that Mugabe is an evil leader, and that Zimbabwe has serious problems. But to seriously say that Jesus Christ Himself could not succeed in such a place is, frankly, blasphemy. Jesus is God and man. He could succeed under any circumstances, in any place on earth, as He does in heaven. I fear that Bishop Ncube is making excuses for his behavior. We need to pray for the Bishop, and for all of Zimbabwe, particularly for the faithful who have been scandalized by his behavior. I pray that he will listen to his superiors, and find peace and forgiveness. May God have mercy on Zimbabwe, and all her people.

Gravatar The Seventh Commandment is on adultery? Maybe looking at the Sixth would serve him better. Perhaps this is what got him into trouble...

Gravatar Paz,

There is more than one listing of the Commandments. FWIW.
