So, obviously the argument of Biden, who claims that he doesn't want to criminalize abortion but also doesn't think we should be forced to pay for them, is specifically contradicted by the part platform.
How can any Catholic remain in this party and maintain a sense of credibility?

BTW
Obama cult is spreading to CUA.

Gravatar What ever happened to Ron Paul, Thomas? Granted he's not in the running, but I feel like this site has just fallen into the two party gap. What about Ron Paul and his constitutional approach to ending abortion by granting that power to the states? Better yet, where is the only pro-life-anti-war-pro-Catholic-no-lesser-of-two- evils discussion?

As I see it Thomas, and I thought you did too, Ron Paul's platform was the only one that we as Catholics could have agreed to without any compromise in our conscience. And while you and I may know this deep down, many of the people here simply take the same Republican Pro-Life positions almost as if by habit.

I know it is not your intention to make this site overly political, and have wisely relegated this task to your 'Catholics for Ron Paul' site, I do implore you to once again bring up the position, if not the man, who most closely represents the whole of Catholics, and not just those willing to fight for the unborn.

I appreciate the work you do very much. Don't fail us now.

Sincerely,
NT

Gravatar Just when you thought it COULDN'T get any worse.....

Gravatar Kmiec was consulted and had some kind of hand in drafting the DNC language... so you can show him some appreciation for that.

Gravatar Kmiec had an article defending the new DNC abortion language here:
http://www.catholic.org/politics...ry.php? id=28865

Note Kmiec's use of the phrase "potential mother" which should give pause.

My take on the article is here:

Gravatar Anything that talks about "reducing the need for abortions" is conceding the unproven assumption that abortion is a NEED.

One might just as well claim to be trying to reduce rape by "addressing the need to rape".
