I don't want to diminish this turn of events at all, and I do indeed hope and pray for abortion to become illegal everywhere, but making it illegal is only part of the story: the other part - perhaps tougher, I don't know - is to make it unnecessary, and I also pray that people in South Dakota (indeed, everywhere where abortion is carried out) will be generous in supporting pregnant women and vulnerable mothers. The process of changing attitudes isn't just about supporting or haranguing our politicians; it's also about regaining a kind of cohesion to society.

This needs to happen in every state. Hopefully the Court has enough prolifers to overturn roe v. wade.

i'm from south dakota. so sad to see it didn't pass... but, the "40 days for life" is going strong here. People keeping vigil everyday outside planned parenthood.
