Wow! That kid is amazing! It's too bad that he'll be out of a job when he hits puberty...

Ah, but nothing beats Florence Foster Jenkins at this aria, eh?

Actually, anon, I think he's just knocked the ol' FFJ off her perch!
And Danny, he's lucky he's living in a century where he'll be allowed to reach puberty with a voice like that!

Wow, I really enjoyed that. I've never seen a child sing a Mozart aria, let alone this one!

Salome - it's a good point you make. My brothers sang in a boy choir for many years (until age caught up) and were very happy that they were allowed to "graduate." :)

He might not be out of a job when he reaches puberty...he might be trained up as a counter-tenor. I think it would take him a few years to get his full boyish range back, but it can be done. We still have adult men who sing soprano and alto roles, but as Salome noted, in this century we use methods other than interfering with natural male development.
I'm a bit puzzled about the choice of aria, though: other than being flashy, why have a boy sing the "Queen of the Night" aria? Doesn't seem like the wisest choice.
