Personally, the "little ratzinger" (canizares of spain) is quickly winning my heart.
Anything that puts the Church and all the might of Her people and prayers more in front of the criminal Chinese government is a plus in my book.
Levada is another big on in my book b/c he's going to a high post in the curia and I think it sets a great example for Americans to see someone grow up with the church post Vatican-II council and stress the continuance of church teaching and authority rather than pretend everything changed at Vatican II and it's all a free-for-all now.
I voted, as most people seem to have done, for Cardinal Zen. Probably for the same reasons!!! I'm EXCITED!!! May he spread the Faith through China...
BUT, second on my list has to be Cardinal Cheong; a new Cardinal for Korea was long overdue... The photo of the two Korean Cardinals (Kim and Cheong) embracing each other nearly made me cry. I liked his gloves, too!
Third, although it was the least surprising for me (along with Cardinal Levada'a appointment) was Cardinal Dziwisz. Okay, we all knew he'd get it when he was moved to Krakow (and wasn't that a brilliant stroke in itself), but still and all; I was very pleased...
There are heaps of others who occupy sees or positions that have previously been held by Cardinals but, under Benedict XVI, one appears to actually have to earn one's promotion...! Way to go, Holy Father!

I am a big fan of Cardinal Canizares and voted for him. I think he may be future papabile material (unless God willing Pope Benedict lives to be 90 or above).
I am also excited about Cardinal Zen, hopefully it has a substantial effect on the Church in China.
I am also excited about both Cardinal O'Malley (whom I think is under appreciated) and Cardinal Levada, I hope Cardinal Levada continues to be a bulwark of the faith.
I hear good things about Cardinal Caffara, especially in his solid stances against abortion and contraception.
For sentimental reasons, Cardinal Dziwisz is a great pick.
I don't know enough about the others to have an opinion, but I trust the Holy Father.
What a delightful discovery we've made.
