That last picture makes him look like a superhero. What would his superhero name be, anyway?

Is that the same cape that Pope John Paul II used to wear? Of course I mean in the early years of his pontificate, for the late Pontiff stopped using the cape in the later years. I was under the impression that John Paulīs cape (e.g. in that well known official portrait), had a sort of golden trim, whereas this one is totally red. Am I wrong?

What more "super" name than simply POPE BENEDICT XVI?! At the same time I could almost see him rising into the air on the wind; as if he's not afraid to try. Whee!

I was very pleased when he was elected to the pontificate and he has no fear showing us, mostly people who can't remember anything before Vatican II, what traditional things the pope would wear. Who knows what he'll pull from history next!

Wait! That's the Pope? I thought it was SuperMan! Rather, SuperPope!

Can somebody with more technological capability than me, put a "B" like the SuperMan "S" on the cape of the first picture for me. That would be awesome!

He sure makes his "Popehood" look awesome. What a beautiful pope! He is so delightful and full of surprises. His joy is evident everywhere he goes. I agree that SuperPope is the perfect moniker for B16.

Maybe he can have a super hero hangout (like when I was a kid and watched "The Justice League of America"). He can call it "Defenders of the Faith." They can go and soundly defeat the bad cardinals who thumb their noses at Doctrine, starting with Martini.
He can swoop into action with his sidekicks like Cardinal George, etc. ;)
