That line from BR regarding Good Friday is truly apt. It really feels different, doesn't it? It's when the Liturgy of the Eucharist begins on Easter Vigil that the building I'm in starts to make sense again. And it feels like it's been ages since Jesus was with us substantially, even though I rarely get to attend daily Mass! The Triduum experience certainly enriches my understanding of the Paschal mystery. I know that's an obvious thing to say, but it is so wonderful!
In short, Mr Waugh has a way of putting things.
