Gravatar Isn't it great! the paranoid media is not really seeing some of the subtle moves the Pope has been making. At least not to the point of saying he is harsh and unrelenting like they thought he would be.

Gravatar Maybe you should list particulars on why he is not a centrist.

Gravatar Believing that active homosexuals should not be ordained to the priesthood is not a "centrist" position within the Church.

Believing that contraception is intrinsically wrong is not a "centrist" position within the Church.

Believing in the infallibility of the Magisterium on matters of faith and morals is not a "centrist" position within the Church.

Believing that human life begins at the moment of conception is nota "centrist" position within the Church.

... that's just the first few things that come to mind.

Gravatar I don't think that terms like liberal or conservative should even apply to the Church in the first place. In some eras, the Church may be 'liberal'. It just depends on the political atmosphere of the time. At one time, being a liberal was not a bad thing, but now that term has been so misused and abused that it no longer has any meaning at all. Catholics should follow the Church's teachings. No one's forcing them to be a part of the Church. Anyways, that's my take on it.

Gravatar Bye Bye McCarrick. Can't happen too soon.

Gravatar Farewell, cardinal. Now I hope we can get somebody who is actually interested in the DC diocese.

Gravatar Our lord the Cardinal is plenty interested in Washington when politicians throws money his way.

I just really don't like Cardinal McCarrick. He's too popular with the MSM for comfort.
