This article was very helpful in framing the debate about why condoms are not a legitimate option but I think there is one major flaw. Mr. Henry makes no distinction between marital and extra-marital intercourse. The use of a condom in extra-marital intercourse could be tolerated since the act is already evil and can't be made worse. This was the case when nuns in Bosnia were permitted to use contraception because of the high risk of rape. (see CWNews article)

This is particularly important in the reference to Cardinal Schonborn. Although I could not find the complete article referenced in footnote #3, the excerpts that I saw indicated that Schonborn might have extra-marital situations in mind such as prostitution.
