Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't believe this if finally cleared up. I was really worried about all the smoke and mirrors going on in the media, but now I see no worries.
The Holy Spirit must have helped me find this blog, in that, I found it blog-surfing and it was mentioned in "Satan's blog". Ha,ha! What great irony.

Some years back John Paul II had published a Vade Mecum for confessors that, if I recall rightly, had something to say about a married partner protecting herself from an AIDs-infected husband. This might be worth looking up.

Not to be petty but technically somebody is HIV infected. AIDS is a syndrome, the result of HIV infection if you will. A seropositive person (who carries the HIV virus) may eventually develop AIDS at which point their days are counted. But medication is improving everyday and people that have the HIV virus can live a lot longer before developing AIDS.
