Gravatar There are people planning a boycott. Here's one group.

Gravatar I'm not thinking many people will be at all interested in frank or honest discussion; however, the 'othercot' is a great idea in my book. My roommate and several friends are already planning to go see "Over the Hedge" which opens the same weekend. Hopefully putting our money into a family-friendly and non-offensive to the world's largest religion (at least we were if Islam has surpassed us already) will send a message about what types of movies are profitable for Hollywood to make. It's the only way to communicate with them I'm afraid.

Otherwise - the packets of pamphlets are a fair idea if one feels the need to do so. I tend to think that's a little too much in this situation, but then again, other times I want to march in the streets while others just want another mug of tea to sip.

Gravatar I think that all you'll need to know about the movie you've read enough of in the book or the descriptions on sites like Catholic Answers which are very accurate.

And the Catholics I know who will see the movie call themselves 'open-minded'.

Brown and Co. won't see a cent of my money.

Gravatar Sorry. can't join you on this one--I ended up promising my sister and mother I'd see the stupid thing, God knows why! Of course, if Mama ain't happy....*sigh*
My heart's with you all; I'm one of the few who read the book and did not like it. I got the point of the book and honestly thought Big Deal, So What? this stuff isn't true. Then I hear everybody and his brother blithering away about it, and still can't figure out why.
Pray for me, when I (have to) go I'm going to keep my eyes shut and put corks in my ears.
