Funny though, a mate of mine is taking a group of conservative youth skiing in two weeks time. But it is an excuse and the focus of the trip is actually a very thought provoking conference.
This article is so true. It's been making its rounds on the Catholic blogosphere. Too many of today's youth programs are superficial.
In today's church times, I can't believe things like ski trips are still done. Talk about opening yourself up for potential lawsuits.
A friend of mine once said, "nowadays, the 8th sacrament is 'risk management'."
Which seems true, diocese are more concerned about that than actually providing the other sacraments.
