Bertone's just like the cardinals Benedict recently named (except for Levada and O'Malley who look like dour sourpusses to me). They are doctrinally strict, but confront the world genially and happily.

Well, I don't know about Levada, but O'Malley is a happy Franciscan but in an extremely unhappy archdiocese. O'Malley used to congregate with his flock for beer and pizza once a week in his previous posts. Also, you just have to go back to posts during Consistory week to catch some of his tongue-in-cheek remarks about his "red duds."
