Gravatar And i like it! even if i am french; viva america!

Gravatar Can it be considered a "sport" if it can be repeatedly won by an American cancer survivor and another American with a bad hip?

Gravatar inhocsig,

I am not a cyclist, but I follow cycling and went to the Alps two years ago for the Tour. If you were there, there is no way you would ask whether or not it is a "sport."

FYI, Floyd Landis is a former teammate (left US Postal three years ago) and there is a bit of bad blood between the two.

Recusant

Gravatar He's a local-boy-made-good in our area (Philly) and 'twas quite touching to watch his father ask his son's forgiveness on TV for their estrangement re: his disapproval of his son's prefered path in life (they're Mennonites, Amish-lite) and his mother witness to trust in Divine Providence for her son's good fortune, true humility!

Gravatar Thanks for the backstory Clare!

Gravatar Americans don't consider it a sport because when our boys turn 16, they hang the bike on the garage wall.

They then troop down to the DMV and get their drivers license.

The best of these become drivers in NASCAR!

(And are never seen in spandex shorts.)
